About us
Why did we start? It all started with a ruined T-shirt.
I didn't have a big business dream. I just had a bad day in front of the washing machine.
I had bought my son a T-shirt that he absolutely loved. I wore it once, washed it once. When I took it out of the wash... disaster. That "gorgeous" pattern had peeled off halfway, it was hanging sadly, and the new T-shirt had instantly become a duster.
At that moment it hit me: We are surrounded by disposable things. I looked around and saw the sea of "plastic": rubberized prints that crack, clothes that all look the same, an invisible and banal "uniform."
I said to myself, "That's it. There has to be a way to make clothes that have soul and, man, ENDURE."
Why did I "get into trouble" with Embroidery?
I could have done what everyone else is doing: stickers or cheap iron-on. But I chose embroidery because it's the only one that stands the test of time. It's not just durability, it's Creative Engineering .
At Epic Thread , we don't just press a "Start" button. We combine materials and techniques to achieve something indestructible and spectacular:
-
The basis is Premium Polyester: We use high-tenacity polyester thread. What does this mean? That it does not fade in the sun, does not pill and heroically withstands repeated washings. The patch remains alive even after the garment underneath it gives way.
-
Mix of Textures: We combine polyester with matte thread (for a retro look), fine viscose (for premium details) or metallic thread (when we want maximum visual impact).
-
Innovative Techniques: We use modern digitizing and embroidery methods that give volume and direction. It's not just a flat stitch; it's an image with depth, that catches the light and "jumps" into the eye.
Who's behind the sewing machine?
The Epic thread is not an anonymous factory. It's a local workshop run by a strange mix of personalities (all mine):
-
The father who suffered: Who knows what it means to waste money on bad clothes and doesn't want you to suffer the same.
-
Maniac Artisan: That combination of textures and techniques doesn't come about by chance. I check every stitch.
-
The Caterincos Friend: Life is hard, so your clothes should be fun. If I can make you smile with a patch, I've done my job.
We also do Corporate (but differently)
We apply the same philosophy to companies. If you're tired of spending money on promotional materials that end up in the trash or become pajamas at home, you've come to the right place.
We do embroidered branding for companies that want their employees to wear their logo with pride, not out of obligation. Whether it's uniforms, event patches, or corporate gifts – we make them last and look epic .
My Promise: Radical Transparency
Behind the Epic Thread is not a robot. It's me, and I value humanity. In any interaction with me (whether you buy a single patch or 100 for the company), you will get two things:
-
Maximum Transparency: If an idea doesn't look well-crafted, I'll tell you. I don't take your money just to deliver something mediocre. We're partners, not blind executors.
-
Continuous Communication: I don't disappear into the fog after you place your order. I keep you updated, we talk, we make sure what comes out of the car is exactly what you imagined (or better).
The conclusion?
Whether you're a parent who wants sustainable clothes, a rebel who wants a fun patch, or an entrepreneur who wants quality – you're someone who refuses the mundane.
If you're tired of peeling plastic and want a real experience, welcome. You're one of us.
We produce in Ploiești, Romania.
Here, embroidery is not decoration. It's a message.
